Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to patrol assigned areas on foot or with mechanical transport in order to observe civil activity and ensure compliance with municipal laws and regulations;
Under the direction and supervision of the Compliance and Enforcement Manager, the incumbent is responsible for enforcing Municipal Laws such as (but not limited to) the Town and Country Planning Act, Town Nuisance Prevention Act, Parochial Markets Act, Licenses on Trade and Businesses Act and Road Traffic Act.
The incumbent is responsible for resolving property tax delinquency cases by contacting delinquent customers with a view to collecting delinquent taxes. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that individuals voluntarily comply with the Tax Laws and Regulations by educating them on best practices.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Inspector of Poor, the administrator is required to carry out the administrative tasks for the Drop in Centre for Homeless Persons, ensuring that the records for use are properly documented, that the building and compound are fully maintained and organizing the activities of the Drop in Centre including the meals, mental health visits, Doctors appointments, rehabilitation activities and hygiene care for the users.
PERFOMANCE STANDARDS
The Municipal Police Supervisor supervises Municipal Officers and reports to the Commercial Services Manager and wil liaise with the following persons from time to time
General members of the Public;
Vendors;
Transport Operators;
Senior Police Officers;
Business Operators;
Tax Administration Jamaica;
Public Health Officers;
Officers of the Municipal Corporation.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Property/Asset Manager in the St. James Municipal Corporation.
Purpose: To effectively secure, manages and maintain all the St. James Municipal Corporation’s buildings, properties and other assets in an effort to create a safe and comfortable environment for employees and customers of the Corporation.
Core Functions:
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Local Authorities Legislations governing the Litter Act, Hawkers and Peddlers Act; Building Code; Traffic offences committed by drivers of public passenger vehicles and other related Local Government Regulations also ensuring that operators of public places and businesses are complying with the relevant Public Health regulations.
