Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Compliance Officer has prime responsibility for ensuring revenues such as Property Taxes, General Revenues with which the Council has direct responsibility for realizing are collected and are able to fund the budget prepared for the fiscal year.
To manage the Compliance/Enforcement process as it relates to the Laws under the Building Act, Town & Country Planning Act, Town Nuisance Act, Fire Regulation, Amusement Regulation and the Public Health (Barbers & Hairdressers) regulations etc.
Must obtain at least a Bachelors Degree in Management Studies/ Public Administration/Accounting
You will be required to work as a compliance officer undertaking the responsibilities and duties including ensuring the collection of outstanding taxes, contacting delinquent clients to arrange collections, reconcile accounts, meeting collections quota assigned and providing timely reports.
