In order to operate as a butcher, an individual has to be granted a license by the Parish Council.
Application for license shall be done in triplicate on a form provided by the parish council
Applications are made to the secretary of the local board accompanied by three passport sized photographs and the relevant fee
A copy of the application is sent to the medical officer for consideration/ recommendation
If the application is unsuccessful, the applicant is refunded one half of the application fee
All applicants are required to attend a butcher’s license session
