Receptionist (OPS/TO 1)
Under the general direction of the Human Resource and Facilities Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for operating and monitoring the Council’s switchboard and reception, thereby allowing the free flow of information to and from the Council. As the first point of contact, the receptionist represents Council in a manner that is professional and efficient, effortlessly maneuvering between the telephone and the customers, both internal and external.
Qualifications and Experience:
At least four C.X.C./G.C.E. subjects at grades 1, 2 or 3/A, B or C including Mathematics and English Language.
At least a Certificate in Customer Service or related field from an accredited institution.
The incumbent should:

- Have a pleasant personality and should be highly motivated
- Be a team player and extremely flexible
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent written and oral skills
- Possess the ability to work on own initiative
- Be goal and detailed oriented
Required Knowledge:
The incumbent should have:
- Knowledge of the operations of a Norstar/Meredian Switchboard
- Working knowledge of major computer applications.
At least one (1) year work experience in a similar capacity.
Salary Range: $ 565,455.00-672,149.00 p .a
