IN-HOUSE CLERK - (CONTRACT: 1 POSITION)

Salary range: $575,667.00-$684,287.00 per annum

Qualifications: 
  • Four CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language
  • At least one (1) year related work experience. 

Specific Knowledge:

  • Standard office practices; proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Skill in: reading, writing, math and basic accounting/bookkeeping; operating a 10-key by touch and standard office equipment including a calculator and cash register; word processing, data entry, and basic spreadsheets.
  • Ability to: maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work activities; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; understand and follow clear work instructions; distill relevant and useful elements from vast amounts of information; and multi-task.

Responsibilities: 
  • Performs clerical support duties as needed to assist the general public in specialized fee collection or similar processes requiring the acceptance of monies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Calculates fees due and answers customer queries.
  • Updates and maintains accurate automated records relating to specialized function.
