Streetlights within the parish of St. Thomas are paid for by the Ministry of Local Government & Community Development. Funding for this service is generated through Property Tax generated in the parish.
A recent Audit was conducted of the number of Streetlights within the parish. This Audit was initiated by the Ministry of Local Government & Community Development where the Parish Council and Jamaica Public Service work jointly to execute the Audit.
At present defective and new streetlights are reported at the Parish Council for repairs. The data is collated and sent to Jamaica Public Service for action.
