The St. Mary Parish Council family is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Councillor Barton Oliver.
Councillor Oliver joined the St. Mary Parish Council in June 2003, serving as Councillor for the Hampstead Division until his death. The late Councillor also served as Deputy Mayor from 2007-2012.
Mr. Oliver will be remembered by many as someone who always wears a smile, jovial, compassionate and friendly.
To his family, acquaintances and political colleagues, the Council extends heartfelt condolence to you. Remember, “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves memories no one can steal.
Councillor Oliver died in hospital on March 31, 2016 after suffering a stroke a week earlier.
