Trade Licences
Trade Licence is a licence by law for trading of goods and services. The fee is collected by Inland Revenue on behalf of the Council and is payable once per year. Each trader is given a Licence upon receipt of payment. Late payment (payment after June) attracts a penalty of 5% per annum.
 
Barbers' / Hairdressers' Licences
Barbers and Hairdressers require licence to operate their business. This trade requires two types of Licence. Schedule of fees are as follows:

Barber Licence

  • Renewal of Barber Licence
  • Licence to operate as a Barber
  • Licence  to operate as trainee
  • Renewal of Trainee Licence
  • Health Certificate
  • Licence to operate premises as Barbershop in which  Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy or Cosmetology 

Hairdresser

  • Licence for Cosmetologist / Hairdresser
  • Renewal of Licence Cosmetologist / Hairdresser
  • Licence to operate as Trainee
  • Renewal of Licence to operate as Trainee 

 
Butchers’ Licences
Each butcher is required to operate under a licence. A person will need a butcher’s licence if he / she is involved in slaughtering of any class if animal whether it is poultry, small stock (goat, sheep and pigs) or cattle.
Once a licence is granted it is renewable each year upon the recommendation of the Police and the Public Health Department. A licence cannot be granted or renewed if recommendation is received from only one party.
