The Council employs a Building Officer that is responsible to conduct site inspection, building inspection (foundation, roof check) and post approval inspections.
These inspections are done in keeping with our commitment to the public and also in meeting the standards established with our Customer Charter of 2011.
Once a building plan is approved by the St. Thomas Parish Council, the applicant or agent is given the requisite forms to facilitate the inspections. A copy of the building plan that is approved by the Parish Council is to be on site, along with a copy of the Post Approval Form checked and signed by the Building Officer.
