Richmond Police Station Received Face Lift on Labour Day

National Labour Day and Workers Week 2014 was celebrated under the theme “TAKE A STAND…. BEAUTIFY OUR LAND”.

The St. Mary Parish Council along with volunteer groups, agencies and the residents of the Richmond community collaborated on Labour Day, May 23, 2014 to improve the aesthetics of the Richmond Police Station which was selected as this year's Parish project.

In keeping with this year’s theme, the scope of work involved re-painting of the external and internal walls, planting of fruit trees, sanitisation, pest control and general beatification of the Station.

A number of other projects were undertaken across the Parish; among them were the re-painting of several pedestrian crossings, re-painting of the Children’s Ward at the Port Maria Hospital, re-painting of the Albany Basic School, the St. Mary Anglician Church as well as many other Public Buildings.
