Residents of the St. Mary Infirmary were the beneficiaries of well-needed equipment through the kind donation of the charitable group Friends of Highgate.
Matron at the Infirmary, Sharon Burke, commended the efforts of the organisation which is based in Highgate, St. Mary and who has donated to other organisations across the Parish over several years:
“It is truly an honour and a great feeling, we are extremely thankful and grateful to you for these items and I can assure you that they will go a far way in improving the lives of the residents”
Mr. Allan Haye in responding, pledged the organisation’s commitment and promised to provide additional assistance to the residents of the Infirmary.
The Infirmary received Walkers, Walking Sticks, Push Walkers, Wheel Chairs and Commodes. These items were officially handed over to the St. Mary Infirmary on January 21, 2015.
